Se presenta un caso de quiste pleuropericárdico en un varón de 25 años que consultó por dolor torácico. Tras la sospecha clínica se practicó una punción transparietal. Inicialmente desapareció el quiste y el enfermo permaneció asintomático. Se revisan las nuevas técnicas diagnósticas y la actitud terapéutica ante este proceso benigno.
A case of a pleuropericardial cyst presented in a 25 year old male who consulted for thoracic pain is reported. On clinical suspicion transparietal punction was performed with the cyst initially disappearing and the patient remaining asymptomatic. The new diagnostic techniques and therapy of this benign process are reviewed.
