Summary

The authors describe a case of generalized pulmonary edema that followed a subarachoid hemorrhage after a few hours. The clinical picture related to the pulmonary edema acquired complete protagonism over that of the neurological. Good therapeutic response was obtained with Furosemide, which permitted later surgical treatment of the aneurysm. Finally, the authors make a brief review of neurogenic pulmonary edema as well as of the pathogenetic theories.
