Se presenta un caso de tumor de células granulares o mioblastoma traqueal, tercero de los publicados en la literatura médica y el número 55 de los localizados en vías respiratorias bajas.
Su diagnóstico se hizo por broncofibroscopia y biopsia. La radiografía simple de tórax fue normal y la morfología de la curva de flujo-volumen, previa a la broncoscopia, sentó el diagnóstico de obstrucción traqueal.
El tumor se extirpó, con resección y anastomosis término-terminal de tráquea, encontrándose la paciente asintomática al año y medio de la intervención.
A case of granular cell tumour or tracheal myoblastoma is reported. It is the third reported case in medical literature, and the number 55 of those with lower airways localization.
Its diagnosis was made by fibrobronchoscopy and biopsy. Simple chest X-ray film was normal, and the profile of the flow-volume curve previous to bronchoscopy was diagnostic of tracheal obstruction.
The tumour was removed, with tracheal resection and end-to-end anastomosis. The patient remained symptom-free eighteen months after operation.
