An asymptomatic 46-year-old female had Castleman's disease presenting as solitary lung nodule. During thoracotomy it was found that the nodule was next to the hilus but in an intraparenchymal situation. It was well limited but not encapsulated, and it displaced the neighboring structures.

The most relevant facts which justify this report are the extreme rarity of the presentation as pulmonary nodule and the pulmonary origin of the disease.
