Resumen

Una tetraciclina, minociclina, fue adeministrada por vía oral a cuarenta enfermos con infección del aparato respiratorio. La dosis fue de 300mg el primer día y 200mg los restantes, durante un promedio de 9 días. La respuesta clínica fue buena en el 77% d los casos y la bacteriológica en el 55%. Los efectos secundarios y tóxicos fueron mínimos.

Summary

A tetracycline, minocycline, was administered by oral route to 40 patients with infections of the respiratory apparatus. The dosage was 300mg. The first day and 200mg. the following days for an average of 9 days. The clinical response was good in 77% of the cases and the bacteriological response was good in 55% of the cases. The secondary and toxic effects were minimum.
