El paciente ha estado siempre asintomático y se descubrió en un examen radiológico habitual una masa mediastínica que no se pudo diagnosticar mediante las habituales técnicas preoperatorias.
En la toracotomía se encontró el citado secuestro muy poco vascularizado lo que justificaba el fracaso diagnóstico con la arteriografía.
