Summary

The authors publish a case of pulmonary fibrosis by cyclophosphamide in a patient with chronic lymphoid leukemia. The pulmonary fibrosis appeared after ten years of administration of the drug and did not progress when the drug was retired. Diagnosis was made by transbronchial biopsy and the exclusion of other processes. The authors review the medical bibliography on this topic and insist that the criteria for including a case of pulmonary fibrosis as secondary to cyclophosphamide must be rigorous in the extreme.
