Summary

Based on the observation of a patient suffering from pulmonary fibrosis, Hashimoto's disease and who had been a canary breeder, the authors comment on the fact that there is a group of processes —such as desquamative pneumonies in their different groups; extrinsic, allergic and cryptogenic alveolitis; cnronic eosinophil pneumonies; and chronic interstitial pneumony— that have a common anatomicopathological beginning in their localization and conformation as well as a capacity at the beginning of evolution from one type to another, regression or common evolution, towards fibrosis.

The authors offer their thesis that this group forms a common syndrome, reactive of diminishing order, that is differentiated oniy by the different phases in which the study is carried out or modified by the nature of the noxa.

Precocious diagnosis of these cases before they evolve towards fibrosis is of interest to the clinician as well as to the physiopathologist.
