Summary

Based on the case of a patient diagnozed as having MacLeod's syndrome, the authors comment on the necessary explorations for establishing this diagnosis.

The authors make special reference to the importance of the gammagraphy of ventilation-perfusion, the results of which confirm the radiological diagnosis of sus.picion of MacLeod's syndrome when the existence of an obstructive endobronchial process is excluded previously by bronchofibroscopy. The gammagraphy of ventilation-perfusion anuis the indication of pulmonary arteriography in these patients, and bronchography would be limited to those cases in which the symptomatology obliges one to consider surgical treatment.
