Ciento seis enfermos fueron intervenidos por bronquiectasias en el período comprendido entre enero de 1966 y diciembre de 1979. Todos menos uno tenían lesiones unilaterales y localizadas. La mortalidad operatoria fue del 1,88 % y la morbilidad postoperatoria del 7,54 %.

Hemos podido valorar los resultados obtenidos en 87 casos con un tiempo de seguimiento de 1 a 13 años con una media de 4,5 años. Doce no acudieron a la revisión, dos fallecieron y cinco fueron intervenidos en el curso del año 1979.

Siguiendo los parámetros señalados por Cornet 12 hemos constatado un 49,4 % de resultados excelentes, un 41,3 % de buenos y un 9,1 % de mediocres. Si los resultados los analizamos en función de la etiopatogenia observamos que el porcentaje de resultados excelentes es prácticamente similar en ambos grupos, el de bueno ligeramente superior en las secundarias, y loque es más importante de resaltar que los resultados mediocres constituyen el 17,8 % de las idiopáticas y tan sólo el 5,08 % de las secundarias.

The authors present the cases of 106 patients who were intervened surgically for bronchiectasis during the period between January 1966 and December 1979. All the patients, with the exception of one, showed unilateral and localized lesions. Operative mortality was 1.88% and post-operative morbility was 7.54 %.

The authors were able to evalúate the results obtained for 87 cases with a follow-up period from 1 to 13 years, with an average period of 4.5 years. Twelve patients did not come to their check-up, two died and fíve were interved surgically during 1979.

According to the parameters indicated by Cornet 12 the authors have been able to tabúlate 49.4 % of excellent results, 41.3 % of good results and 9.1 % of mediocre results. If the results are analyzed according to pathogenesis it can be seen that the percentage of excellent results is practically the same in the idiopathic and in the secondary groups, the percentage of good results is slightly superior in the secondary group and most important of all, the mediocre results constitute 17.8 % of the idiopathic group and only 5.08 % of the secondary group.
