El quiste aéreo pulmonar de origen congénito es mucho menos frecuente que el de naturaleza adquirida y aun en su presencia el diagnóstico puede ser difícil y a veces imposible, por lo que éste se debe apoyar en ciertos criterios, fundamentalmente histológicos. Se presentan cuatro casos de quiste aéreo disembrioplásico, donde se comprueba que la presentación clínico-radiológica así como el cuadro histológico, están en íntima relación con la presencia o ausencia de infección de la cavidad a través de su comunicación con las vías aéreas.
A congenital pulmonary arterial cyst is much less frequent than an acquired one and even in its presence the diagnosis can be difficult and sometimes impossible. Therefore the diagnosis shouid be supported by certain criteria, basically histological. The authors present four cases of dysembryoplasic aerial cysts and verify that the clinical and radiological presentation as well as the histological picture is in intimate relation with the presence or absence of infection of the cavity through its communication with the air routes.
