Se estudian los hallazgos radiológicos y funcionales en 44 artritis reumatoides (28 mineros y 16 no mineros), con más de 5 criterios ARA. La incidencia de artritis reumatoide en
25194 mineros estudiados, es del 1,11%.
El grupo artrítico tenía mayor incidencia y formas más avanzadas de neumoconiosis (X2 = 54,30, P < 0,001) Otros hallazgos radiológicos eran: 2 fibrosis pulmonares y 1 síndrome de Caplan. Funcionalmente, la DLCO y Pa O2 no mostraban cambios, pero había disminución de la CV. en el grupo artrítico minero (P < 0,001). Los resultados son discutidos.
The authors study the radiological and functional findings in 44 cases of rheumatoid arthritis (28 miners and 16 non-miners), with more than 5 criteria ARA. The incidence of rheumatoid arthritis in 25194 miners studied was of 1.11%.
The arthritic group had a greater incidence and more advanced forms of pneumoconiosis (X2 = 54,30, P < < 0,001). Other radiological findings were 2 pulmonary fibrosis and 1 case of Caplan's Syndrome. Functionally: the DLCO and PaO2 dit not show changes, but there was a decrease of C.V. in the group of arthritic miners (P < 0,001). The results are then discussed.
