Pulmonary thromboembolism is a severe disease with high morbi-mortality. It nearly always arises from deep vein thrombosis, a diagnosis which sometimes leads to ¡mplantation of a percutaneous filter interrupting the inferior vena cava.

We describe our experience with 40 LGM (Braun) filters, describing technical aspects, evolution and results.
