Summary

The incidence of iatrogenic tracheal stenosis is growing steadily due to the increase of clinical situations which require endotracheal intubation.

The authors present twenty-one cases of tracheal stenosis diagnozed in nineteen patients and examined in their Section of Respiratory Endoscopy during the last four years, analyzing their location, morphology, and different pathogenetic factors as well as the great utility of fibrobronchoscopy for its diagnosis.
