Se analizan 113 casos de pacientes con oxigenoterapia continua domiciliaria (OCD) en Navarra, con una prevalencia de 28,02/100.000 habitantes y una media de edad de 69,42±10,2 años. La prescripción se consideró correcta en 60 pacientes; solamente el 29,2% utilizaban el oxígeno 15 o más horas. A 55 pacientes (48,6%) se les realizaba controles y únicamente al 33% de ellos se les practicaba gasometría arterial. Se concluye insistiendo en la necesidad de un programa de OCD en nuestra comunidad.
One hundred and thirteen patients with continuous oxygen therapy at home (COH) in Navarra were evaluated, with a prevalence of 28, 02/100000 and a mean age of 69,42±10,2 years. The prescription was considered adequate in 60 patients; only 29,2% used oxygen during 15 or more hours. Controls were being carried out in 55 patients (48,6%) and arterial blood gases were being measured in only 33%. It was concluded that a program for COH in our community is requi-red.
