Los autores realizan un estudio clínico de 25 pacientes afectos de pulmón del cuidador de aves (PCA), comentando los hallazgos epidemiológicos, electrocardiográficos, bioquímicos, inmunológicos, radiológicos, funcionales y anatomopatológicos de su serie, haciendo hincapié en la gran utilidad diagnóstica de los test cutáneos y de los test de provocación bronquial. Se comenta igualmente el bajo porcentaje de pacientes fumadores y el ocasional hallazgo de alteraciones del ECG, entre los pacientes de su serie.
The authors report the results of a study including 25 patients with poultry worker's lung (PWL). They review the epidemiology, electrocardiographic, laboratory, immunological, radiographic, functional and anatomoathological findings for the series. Skin sensitivity and bronchial challenge tests are considered useful diagnostic tests. They discuss the low number of smokers in their series and the only occasional finding of ECG alterations.
