Se presentan ocho casos de paquipleuritis residuales a empiemas o a pleuresías serofibrinosas post-neumónicas, tratadas en su mayoría con éxito gracias a una rehabilitación costal y diafragmática correcta. Se hace una descripción del método empleado y se subraya la importancia quetiene la fisioterapia en estos casos, en que las secuelas limitan seriamente la mecánica del tórax. Se concluyeque el tratamiento conservador debepreceder a una actitud quirúrgica.
This paper presents eight cases of pachypleuritis residual to empyemas or to post-penumonic serofibrinous pleurisies, the majority of which were treated with success thanks to a corred diaphragmatic and costal rehabilitatipn. The authors describe the method used and underline the importance of physiotherapy in these cases, in which the sequelas seriously limit the mechanics of the thorax. The conclusión is that a conservative treatment must precede a surgical attitude.
