Se aportan dos nuevos casos de seminoma primitivo de mediastino y se revisa y comenta la patogenia y embriogénesis de estos tumores. Uno de los casos tratado mediante radioterapia, presenta remisión de la sintomatología clínica y radiológica a los 15 meses. En el otro caso, realizada la autopsia, lo que supondría una quinta aportación según la literatura revisada, mostraba una infiltración de estructuras vecinas por contigüidad y metástasis en ganglios de hilio pulmonar y células tumorales aisladas en hígado y bazo.
The authors contribute two new cases of primitive seminoma of the mediastinum and review and comment on the pathogenesis and embryogenesis of these tumors. One of the cases treated by means of radiotherapy, showed remission of clinical and radiologic symptomatology at 15 months. For the other case the autopsy, which will be the fifth reported in the medical bibliography the authors reviewed, showed infíltration of neighboring structures by contiguity and metástasis in lymph nodes of hilus of lung isolated and tumoral cells in the liver and spieen.
