Se presentan dos familias en las que dos de sus miembros en cada una de ellas han presentado episodios de neumotórax espontáneo. La afectación familiar en esta enfermedad es un hecho raramente hallado. Se realiza una revisión bibliográfica sobre los casos anteriormente descritos y se estudia el sistema HLA en las familias presentadas, no hallando relación entre éste y la aparición de un neumotórax espontáneo.
Familial spontaneous pneumothorax is a rare finding. Below two families are described in each of whom two familymembers presented episodes of spontaneous pneumothorax. The pertinent literature is reviewed. HLA system studies of the two families did not turn up any relationship between HLA and spontaneous pneumothorax
