Endobronchial lipoma is an infrequent benign neoplasm in the larger bronchi which may have a high morbidity and mortality rate in the absence of adequate diagnosis and treatment. Below four cases are described; three were symptom free while the fourth presented recurrent pneumonia.

Diagnoses were established with bronchoscopy in three and, in the absence of a definite histological diagnosis in the fourth, with thoracotomy.

Endoscopic methods are considered the therapeutic mode of choice.
