Summary

This paper presents the clinical results obtained in 20 extrinsic asthmatic patients with hyposensitizing treatment seeking a relation with the variations of the IgE before treatment and two years after the beginning of treatment, but not being able to demonstrate a significant correlation.

The authors also present a review of the most recent findings that offer an explanation, of immunological base, of the clinical results obtained with immunotherapy.
