Summary

The authors present two patients suffering from Rendu Osler Weber's disease and carriers of pulmonary ateriovenous fistulae. Based on abnormal radiological images, they applied clinical criteria and auxiliary techniques for diagnosis to demostrate the vascular etiology of the process.

After reviewing the symptomatology and clinical presentation of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia and of pulmonary arteriovenous fistula as one of its manifestations, the authors study the performance of the various diagnostic techniques in this process, and insist on the decisive importance of the angiographic study to confirm its existence.

The authors conclude accepting the valueor surgical treatment as a solution for these patients.
