The incorrect utilization of pressured inhalers with controled dosification (metered-dose inhalers) is a fact which has been proven in different works. However, data on this field was not available in Navarra. We studied 98 patients who normally used this type of inhalers and who went for the first time to the pneumologic out-patients clinic. We observed that 60.2% of the patients followed an incorrect technique and all were therefore included in a training program. The analysis of the data allow to conclude that is important to insist on the careful explanation of the technique of using metered-dose inhalers.
