In a study of 15 patients with bronchiectasis computed axial tomography disclosed a good specifícity at lobar and segmentary level but a low sensitivity. The low sensitivity might be related to the technique of computed axial tomography (CAT). CAT has been found useful in the screening of patients with suspected bronchiectasis.
