Presentamos el estudio por microscopia óptica e inmunohistoquímica de dos carcinosarcomas pulmonares, en varones en la quinta y sexta década de la vida, siendo uno de crecimiento endobronquial y el otro pa-renquimatoso periférico. El componente epitelial fue en ambos epidermoide y fuertemente positivo para queratina. El componente sarcomatoso presentaba en el primer caso diferenciación hacia sarcoma osteogénico y condrosarcoma, siendo positiva en ambos la vimentina, y en el segundo caso una proliferación fusocelular semejante al fibrosarcoma.
Using optic microscopy and immunohistochemical tests, we studied two pulmonary carcinosarcomas diagnosed in one man in his fifties and in another man in his sixties, respectively. One of the tumours had an endobronchial growing while the other affected the peripheral parenchyma. The epithelial component was shown to be epidermoid and strongly positive for keratin in both cases. The sarcoma component showed in one of the tumours a differentiation towards osteogenic sarcoma and chondrosarcoma being the vimentine exam positive for both components. In the other tumours a fíbrosarcoma-like fusocellular proliferation was found.
