Summary

Primary pulmonary botryomycosis is an infrequent finding. The entity is characterized by anatomopathological lesión similar to those caused by actinomyces but of bacterial etiology. The authors describe a case of primary pulmonary botryomycosis in which the causative agent was Pseudomona aeruginosa and with the caracteristic lesión located in the bronchia, which presented as pulmonary condensation with persistent hemoptysis. A revisión of the worldliterature turned up only 11 other cases, none of which in Spain.
