    • Lumbar disc herniation surgery: Is it worth adding interspinous spacer or instrumented fusion with regard to disc excision alone?

      2021, Journal of Clinical Neuroscience
      Citation Excerpt :

The clinical evidence about using an IS or fusion remains inconsistent and controversial, with low number of comparative studies, and therefore, no definitive conclusions can be made. In addition, accounting the consumption of economic resources for each intervention can be useful for the decision-making process [18–20]. The objective of our study was to analyze if adding IS or PLIF, offers clinical advantages in relation to microdiscetomy alone.
