Summary

A pulmonary varix is a rare finding; there are less than 100 reported cases in the literature. The authors present an adult male with a pulmonary varix without associated anomalies; they believe that in the absence of other pathology, the entity generally remains beningn. Differental diagnosis with other processes with similer radiologic signs is important, because management of the patient is different.

A review of the literature is included.
