Eight patients with lymphoid interstitial pneumopathy observed during the last 10 years are reported. The symptoms, forms of presentation, the results obtained with complementary tests, the evolution of the disease along the time and the response to corticosteroid therapy were analyzed. The study aiso considered the most recent aspeéis related to the disease and the pathogenesis and possible association with autoimmune processes and to an occasional malignant degeneration is considered.
