La incidencia de metástasis cerebrales fue elevada (22%). Un 8% de los pacientes neurológicamente asintomáticos presentaron metástasis cerebrales silentes. Se hace referencia a la falta de unanimidad existente en la literatura con respecto a su utilización sistemática en el «estadiaje» del carcinoma pulmonar.
